About Me
Maliya McCall is a graduate of Columbus State University, where she earned her BFA in Theatre Design and Technology with a concentration in Lighting Design and a minor in Art History.
Maliya is a recipient of the 2021 Pat MacKay Diversity in Design Scholarship (sponsored by LDI, USITT, and TSDCA). She has also received two KCACTF nominations for her lighting designs in The Ugly Duckling by Vivian Snipes and Pipeline by Dominique Morissieu.
When she's not in rehearsal, you can find Maliya curling up with a good book or cuddling with her cat, Tortellini Linguine.
Maliya is currently resides in Spring Green, Wisconsin, where she works as the Lighting Assistant at American Players Theatre.
She hopes to continue to refine her craft and above all, keep learning.
